Simple in-office frame adjustments are complimentary for everyone, whether or not you are a Park Slope Eye patient and wherever you bought your glasses. We can usually help with routine fit tweaks when optical staff are available. We will explain any cost before more involved or laboratory repairs.

Lifetime care applies to the original glasses while safely serviceable. The Eyewear Dispensing Plan covers one enrolled pair. Frame-specific fitting measurements require the chosen frame. Specialized parts, major damage, lens replacements, and laboratory repairs are not included. Please email us to arrange an in-office visit.

We help match the frame and lens design to your prescription, visual needs, comfort, style, and everyday use.
Prescription glasses are paid in full before lab work begins, and we can confirm the applicable lens options and warranty when you order.
Many prescription eyewear orders are ready in about 3 to 5 business days. Specialized prescriptions, lens designs, laboratory work, or product availability can take longer.
Direct shipping may be available when appropriate. For eyewear purchased from Park Slope Eye, basic frame adjustments are available for the life of the eyewear. Minor in-office maintenance, including standard screws and compatible nose pads, is also included while the original pair remains safely serviceable.
Park Slope Eye is in network with VSP, EyeMed, and UFT vision plans. Many vision plans include benefits toward glasses; exact coverage, copays, and allowances depend on your plan. Email us before your visit and we can usually look up your benefits. EyeMed orders use EyeMed’s lab and usually fall toward the longer end of our typical 3 to 5 business days.
Depending on your prescription and how you use your glasses, options may include single-vision or progressive lenses, thinner high-index materials for stronger prescriptions, photochromic lenses such as Transitions, polarized prescription sunglasses, sports eyewear such as Rec Specs, and safety or other specialty lenses.
Blue-light-filtering lenses are available if you want them. You don’t need them for normal screen use, and studies haven’t shown they reliably ease eye strain or improve sleep.

Prescription sunglasses give you clear vision outdoors without having to choose between your prescription and sun protection. We can help you find a frame and lens combination that works for your prescription, comfort, style, and everyday needs, including polarized lens options when appropriate.

When a refraction is performed, we provide your eyeglass prescription and can email it to you. You never have to purchase eyewear from Park Slope Eye to receive your prescription, and there is no extra fee to release it. We do hope you’ll give us a chance to help with your glasses. We’re often very competitive on price, and we’d be happy to help you compare frame and lens options before you decide.

My first eye appointment in my life and Dr. Lin took the time to explain every aspect of the eye and the eye tests he and the staff administered. No pressure to purchase lenses or frames or fill the prescription there and was very honest about me even needing anything other than reading glasses at this point. All the staff were amazing. Highly recommend this practice, especially for new patients.

We can often help with a quick fit adjustment when our optical team is available. Glasses purchased here also include lifetime basic in-office maintenance while safely serviceable.
Our Eyewear Dispensing Plan is optional and is not needed for a simple adjustment. It adds fitting measurements, an arrival check and fitting help, and care accessories for one outside-purchased pair.
Some frames cannot safely be adjusted, particularly when their age, materials, condition, or repair history are unknown. More complicated repairs may need a lab or replacement parts, which are not included in lifetime basic care.
We accept cards, tap-to-pay, HSA, and FSA payment methods.
Frames purchased from Park Slope Eye are refundable, while custom prescription lenses generally are not. If a lens type doesn’t work well for you, we generally can remake the lenses into another appropriate option and refund any applicable price difference. Remakes for prescription or adaptation issues are typically available within about 30 days.
Most prescription lenses include a one-year warranty, and some upgraded anti-reflective lens options include a two-year warranty. Coverage depends on the specific lens product, and we’re happy to confirm the warranty when you order.
