Park Slope Eye is an eye-care office, not an emergency room. This page explains what to do if an eye problem feels urgent or may be an emergency.
If you believe it is an emergency
If you have a severe eye injury, chemical exposure, sudden major loss of vision, or another problem you believe is an emergency, seek emergency medical care promptly rather than waiting for a response from Park Slope Eye. If symptoms may be part of a broader medical emergency, use emergency medical services as appropriate.

If it is urgent but not an emergency
For an urgent but non-emergency eye concern, please email Info@ParkSlopeEye.com with a brief description of what is happening. If the concern is time-sensitive, also call 347-560-8393. Email is our preferred routine communication method, but it is not monitored continuously.
Examples of concerns that may deserve prompt attention include significant eye pain, significant redness or irritation, a feeling that something is stuck in the eye, an eye injury, sudden visual symptoms, or new flashes or floaters. The appropriate next step depends on the specific problem and availability.
