Park Slope Eye wants its website to be useful to as many people as reasonably possible. Accessibility is part of our website review process, and we welcome feedback when something creates a barrier.

Website accessibility features

The current site is built with semantic HTML and responsive layouts. It includes a skip link to the main content, descriptive page titles and headings, keyboard-operable native navigation controls where practical, text alternatives for content images, and link and form-control patterns designed to remain understandable without relying only on visual decoration.

Automated checks are used during development for several baseline issues, including document language, viewport configuration, main-page landmarks, heading structure, image alternative text, duplicate element IDs, skip-link behavior, unsafe new-window links, and positive tabindex values. Manual launch-readiness review has also included keyboard navigation and focus visibility, zoom/reflow checks, visual readability review, and representative screen-reader spot checks. Automated and manual testing do not identify every accessibility issue.

No unsupported conformance claim

We do not claim that this website has been formally certified as conforming to a particular accessibility standard or level. Accessibility depends on content, browser and assistive-technology combinations, and ongoing site changes. We continue to review practical barriers and make reasonable improvements.

If you have trouble using the website

If you cannot access information, use a link, or complete an ordinary website task, please email Info@ParkSlopeEye.com and tell us what page or task caused difficulty. If email is not workable for you, call 347-560-8393. We will make a reasonable effort to provide the information or assistance through another method.

When reporting an accessibility problem, it can be helpful to include the page you were using, what you were trying to do, and the browser, device, or assistive technology involved. You do not need to provide medical details to report a website-accessibility issue.

Physical accessibility at our office

Website accessibility and physical-office accessibility are different. The office is not step-free or wheelchair accessible, and there is no accessible restroom. Please review these details when planning your visit. Our Location & Contact page contains the current office-access information so patients can consider it before scheduling or arriving.

Third-party services

Some website actions, such as online appointment booking or opening a map, take you to a third-party service that Park Slope Eye does not control. If an external service presents an accessibility barrier, please contact us and we will try to help with the Park Slope Eye information or task through an available alternative.

Ongoing review

We review website accessibility as the site changes, particularly when navigation, interactive controls, images, or other significant components are added or redesigned. This statement should be updated if the website’s accessibility approach materially changes.
