Dr. Bazan grew up in Utica, New York, and attended Trinity University before optometry school. He graduated from SUNY College of Optometry in 2004. His optometric training included clinical internship experience at the Syracuse VA Medical Center.
Clinical background
Dr. Bazan’s clinical interests include contact lenses, myopia management, and general optometry. Those interests helped shape Park Slope Eye’s emphasis on thoughtful contact-lens fitting, current myopia-management options, and technology-supported comprehensive eye care.
Professional work beyond the exam room
Dr. Bazan previously served as a Medical Advisor to The Vision Council, a national optical-industry organization. He has also spoken and written for the eye-care profession about practice management, technology, patient communication, and broader eye-care topics.
Outside the office
Justin loves global adventures and exploring new places. One adventure stands above the rest: he thru-hiked the entire Appalachian Trail from end to end.
